Sifu Sorwar Ahmed martial arts training started with Taekwondo at the age of 6 years old. At that time he also embarked on partaking in gymnastics.

His passion for training helped him to reach 3rd degree (dan) black belt in Taekwondo by the age of 14 years old and he was permitted to teach at 16 years old. he continued teaching until he was 21 years old.

During his training he also began boxing for a period of 5 years which was cut short due to the passing of his coach.

He commenced his Wing Chun training under the tutelage of Sifu Garry McKenzie.

Although his Wing Chun career has been short at present he is an assistant instructor at The Wing Chun School (TWCS) Head Quarters. He also assists at (TWCS) branch in Ilford. Sifu Sorwar Ahmed has assisted Sifu Garry McKenzie in seminars, demonstrations and he also done a demo on Islam channel.

He has opened (TWCS) branch in Stepney which is growing from strength to strength. Sifu Sorwar Ahmed is a qualified instructor, trained in FIRST AID and CRB/DBS checked.

He has been fortunate enough to have travelled to Hong Kong and China where he was able to meet Grandmasters such as Tsui Seung Tin, Wan Kan Leung, Ip Chun and his Si Gung Ip Ching. Visiting Hong Kong and China was an informative and learned experience as he was able to train extensively and to gain insight into the history and origins of Wing Chun.
